June 5 Austin & Hudderite Colony visit

Manitoba Agricultural Museum in Austin is excellent. Huge collection of huge tractors, combines and farm equipment and really nice re-construction of a turn of the century village. Lots of buildings and interesting artifacts, it is really well done.

Hidden Valley Farms - Hudderite Colony. Teacher Ron Miller welcomed us into his classroom where we shared our beach collection with the children. We left them with Sand dollars, curly shells, crabs etc and they in turn gave us some freshly baked rolls of bread.

This is Dylan's home town and it was nice to come back here again. The lady at the museum, Donna, had been at the wedding in March 2008 and still remembered my speech and joke about the dangers of inbreeding!!
